AMD Conquers 30% CPU Market Share
AMD began its repurposed journey in 2017 when they launched Zen CPU dubbed Ryzen which ticked off all the check boxes for modern CPU with performance, price, threads, and power consumption.
AMD has not stopped there with the launch of Zen+ and Zen 2 later which has resulted in an increase in market share of AMD CPU which was dwindling to less than 20% before zen.
The present global market share by AMD as per CPUbenchmark is more than 30%.
This is to be noted that AMD still has very little say in OEM market where preconfigured Desktop and Laptops are sold and thus the increase in market share is sheer AMD’s Dominance in DIY market. Not to mention in some market AMD is even outselling Intel by 70%.
