Lexus Bringing Android Auto to Its 2020 Cars
Car manufacturer have been reluctant to use google’s automotive software primarily because every data including their secret engine data has to be shared with Google. this is the reason manufacturers use their in house software, mostly Linux.
With the rise in popularity, manufacturers are now implementing android auto support in their vehicle infotainment system. It is the least invasive and very easy to use. Lexus has recently announced their 2020 lineup will have Android Auto support. With this Android Auto
Toyota has been a forerunner in this space using Automotive Grade Linux in their cars. Similarly, Volkwagon has announced a unified operating system for all its subsidiary brands. But it seems no one can ignore Android Auto.
