MediaTek Destroys Competition with new Chip
Few days back, MediaTek launched its latest SOC and with it, re-entered flagship segment with top of the line ARM CPU and GPU Called Dimensity 1000 5G. MediaTek not to give up the limelight, MeadiaTek has now shown the Antutu Benchmark score of its newest SOC which from a mobile perspective, simply destroys the competition, including Apple.
The Antutu score tops out at 511363, the first phone to cross 500000, which is higher than Cooled Snapdragon 855+ (496226) and the iPhone 11 Pro max’s 456065.
The biggest jump is seen in CPU and GPU segment as expected. The Dimensity has 4 cores of Cortex 77 manufactured at 7nm which is unheard off in all the flagship SOC which are now going with tri cluster configuration with 1 or two cortex a77. However, it is not yet clear what Qualcomm will go for its Snapdragon 865 SOC.
The GPU also has the latest architecture from ARM called Valhall but the number of cores are less (9 cores) than what Samsung has in its Exynos 990 (11 cores).
