Nvidia wants to Remaster Old Classics with RTX
Nvidia showcased Quake II in full RTX glory and it was fun to see the old school games with ray traced shadows, mirrors, glass & explosion. Nvidia doesn’t want to be a one-shot pony and has announced a new studio called Lightspeed Studio.
With recent job opening at Nvidia which clearly states the remastering program which will cherry-pick the greatest title of past decade and bring them to ray tracing age.
What is raytracing?
It is a technology where light is traced to accurately render light, shadows, and other physically accurate effects such as reflections and refractions.
It is to be noted that Lightspeed studio has worked before to bring number games to Android based Nvidia Shield.
