Open-source image manipulation program GIMP forked as Glimpse

Gimp which stands for GNU Image manipulation program has always some controversies regarding naming scheme. Further, since the project has slow down and has not incorporated changes requested by the community, some folks have decided to fork GIMP and created Glimpse.

The primary purpose of fork is to change the name as gimp has some varied controversial use by native English speakers. This, as they hope, will also lead to more widespread adoption of this software in the commercial arena.
