Google to shift its manufacturing base to Vietnam
With USA and China tariff war waging on, Google has decided to shift its manufacturing base to Vietnam.
This will help Google in two-fold ways, first, it can avoid the tussle between USA and China and secondly cheaper labour. China is no longer in the forefront of cheap labour supply.
This has prompted google to shift Pixel manufacturing aggressively to Vietnam. The move seems to mirror what Apple is attempting to be doing, as many reports have surfaced in recent months pointing to the Cupertino-based iPhone maker shifting its massive supply lines into that country as well.
With the two biggest tech companies moving their factories for future products, it is expected that other tech companies will follow suit marking Vietnam in the world as the manufacturing hub.
