AMD to counter i5 9400F with Ryzen 5 3500X- Benchmark Leaks
In order to counter mid-segment, Intel has launched Core i5 9400F (Coffe Lake Family) which is a 6 core 6 thread processor with a TDP of 65W manufactured on trusted 14nm process.
Not to be left behind, AMD seems to be ready with its own 6 core 6 thread processor dubbed Ryzen 5 3500X. This is very interesting because AMD seems to counter SMT less Intel processor with its SMT less solution at same TDP, Same boost clock speed but significantly better L3 cache and more PCIE lanes.
In an early benchmark leaked by bilibili (the video has since been taken down), AMD seems to have 5% better performance than Intel’s counterpart.
If AMD can nail the price again, this certainly means doom and gloom for Intel.
