NVIDIA joins Blender Development Fund

Blender is one of the best open source software and with 2.80 version out, it is now one of the best 3D application suits. Its foundation is funded through donations and subscription program and has recently got Ubisoft and Epic onboard.

The latest in joining the funding program is Nvidia. So what does that mean?

Well for the starters Blender Foundation can hire two more dedicated developers. Secondly, Nvidia hardware will get some dedicated love. Nvidia already has robust CUDA and Optix support baked in. But with this, we might get the more usage of raytracing engine in RTX cards in not just optix but maybe in Eevee and other situations.
