USB ver 4 Announced- One port to rule them all
The USB consortium has announced the next generation USB specification dubbed USB4. Before everyone screams oh no not again, USB4 is not only backward compatible, but is also retains the type C port.
Since Intel donated thunderbolt 3 specification to USB forum, the new specification of USB is now also compatible with thunderbolt 3. The specification will also support fast data rates from 10Gbps to 40Gbps rates.
Fast charging upto 100W will be supported making it a common standard among multi proprietary charging tech.
