Yahoo to Shut “Yahoo Groups”
The internet giant of yesteryears is now shedding its flabs and Yahoo, a Verizon owned company has announced the discontinuation of Yahoo Groups, an online discussion forum. The Feature was launched 18 years back on 2001.
After the advent of other social media, Yahoo deems its group feature obsolete and from October 28th onwards, all activity will be freezed and no new content can be posted. On December 14th, even the contents will be deleted.
The only saving grace is that the group members can continue to communicate via email.
