Open Source Ebook reader Calibre gets to 4.5

It was in October that Calibre got a major update to version 4.0 and here we are, 5 points released in between reaching to version 4.5.

Now covering all the point release is out of this article’s scope so here is what is new in the 4.5

  •  Driver for the new PocketBook Inkpad X and Bookeen Diva HD
  • Option to shift text horizontally on odd/even pages on PDFs
  • Image viewing popup dialog: Add a checkbox to fit image to window.
  • Edit book: Create @font-face rules when importing multiple font files into book automatically, similar to how it is done when importing a single font file.

Calibre, a Qt based software is undoubtedly the best ebook organiser and reader on Windows, Mac and Linux and the best part is that it is free and open source.

From version 4.0, The ebook viewer has been completely rewritten and now presents a distraction free viewing experiences.
