Xiaomi Future Phone will get 8K@30fps Video Recording
Xioami is getting serious about Camera and it shows as they are specifically collaborating with Samsung for future camera sensors and the current output of this Collaboration is the 108MP camera sensor which is used in their upcoming Mi Mix Alpha
Although still images are one thing, what about video recording?
Guys at XDA have scrutinized MIUI camera apk which was bundled with leaked MIUI 11 OS. It seems that there a string which defines camera recording capability of UHD 8K at 30FPS.
But those who were hoping that Mi Mix Alpha will get 8K recording as that is the phone with powerful camera, the sad news is that the SOC i.e. Snapdragon 855 Plus is incapable of recording at that level. In fact, the Samsung Sensor used also tops out at 6K @ 30fps (this was not covered by XDA). So all things point to the next generation mobile which will have Snapdragon SD865.
