Xiaomi Mi Watch in Works
Xiaomi has been making smart wearables for a long time. They have the Mi band and sub brand called Amazfit but none of them are a true smartwatch. None that rivals Apple’s Watch. Why the Apple comparison? because the new smart watch from Xiaomi resembles the Cupertino’s watch. Since Google has yet to launch its Pixel Branded Smartwatch, all hopes are now in XIaomi.
Design
The Mi watch has a square shaped design with rounded corners, a crown button and another button on the side. The exploded view also shows a Snapdragon CPU, Wifi, GPS, NFC and eSIM also. Making this watch capable of making a call.

What we have yet to know if this will use wear OS or Mi’s own twist on Android Wear OS. Also the Snapdragon SOC is unknown. Qualcomm is expected to unveil Wear 3300 which is based on Snapdragon 4XX series and have Cortex A53. This could alleviate the sluggishness in wear OS which has plagued it for so many years. However, since the lunch of Mi Watch is near, the ancient SD3100 might be on the duty. (Update: SD3100 is confirmed)
