Rumor: Nvidia Ampere to get Massive Raytracing Improvement
Nvidia is the leader in GPU segment and it seems it will retain the crown considering the fresh rumor that is reported by wccftech where it is stated that Nvidia with its next gen GPU lineup code named Ampere will get a tremendous boost in raster and ray tracing.
Nvidia started the Raytracing fad and has now permanently changed the course of Consoles and PC. However, gamers have criticized the RTX platform as turning on the feature would result in a massive reduction in performance. Thus it is of no surprise that Raytracing will be the key focus for next gen.
The Next focus will be on rasterization and efficiency. Nvidia at 12nm is unbeatable with its efficiency and has the fastest GPU on the planet when it comes to raw resterilization render. The Next gen will up the ante as there will be massive performance boost due to shift from 12nm to 7nm+ process.
The cost is expected to remain same as Turing parts and rumor even goes further to state that the top end parts might be cheaper. All this might get influenced by what AMD will do with its Radeon parts next gen with RDNA 2.
