Linux Mint 19.3 arrives before Christmas

Chrismas came early for Linux Mint users as Linux Mint 19.3 is now available to download and upgrade which now also comes with new Mint Logo. This comes after the new release of Ubuntu in October.

For users running 19.2, the upgrade is as easy as hitting the upgrade button. For rest who want to try the minty version can download it from its official site linuxmint.com.

The XFCE, Mate and Cinnamon Edition are also available for downloads.

Common changes are as below:

  • New system report tool
  • Set timezone from language settings
  • Improved HiDPI support
  • Celluloid video player replaces VLC
  • GNote replaces Tomboy
  • Drawing replaces GIMP
  • Independent panel zone text sizing
  • Ability to configure Nemo context menu
  • Blueberry bluetooth app given GUI revamp
  • Performance improvements
  • Option to disable touchpad when mouse connected
  • New Linux Mint logo
  • Revamped GRUB screen
